Anodized Aluminum Rings

Anodized aluminum jump rings in thirteen colors: black, blue, cosmic pink, gold, kelly green, OD green, orange, patriotic mix, red, silver, stormy gray, turquoise, and violet.

Anodizing grows a colored oxide layer into the surface of the aluminum instead of laying paint on top of it. That matters at the bench: you close every ring with pliers, and a painted ring shows bare metal at the join where an anodized one does not.

Twenty gauge-and-diameter combinations are stocked, spanning 14 through 20 SWG and 1/8 inch through 3/8 inch inner diameter, in aspect ratios from 2.6 to 6.8. Sizes are sold by the ounce for sampling a color and by the pound for committing to a project.

Weaving a color pattern usually means buying one bulk pack of a base color and ounces of the accents. Plenty of builders run anodized against bright aluminum so the pattern reads through the color. For scalemail, pair open-ratio rings with scales, and check counts first with the calculator.
